I've just discovered the amazing work of South African digital matte painter and concept artist Sarel Theron. He obviously worked on huge movies and video games projects, but there are no more infos about him anywhere.. Theron is very inspired by 1800's painters such as Albert Bierstadt in the graphic treatment and the lighting of his pictures. He mixes 3D modeling and 2D painting to achieve a sublime render in his compositions.
